Photographer-Artist: Fiona Watson

Long someone I have admired on Flickr, photographer and artist Fiona Watson's work is brilliant.  It is often delicate and ephemeral, sometimes bold, occasionally stark, and always beautiful.  I'm torn between following her stream because I love and admire her work, and in avoiding it because I don't want to be so swayed by that admiration that I inadvertently plagiarize.  If we have learned nothing from the Rosie Hardy scandal, it's that there's a fine line between inspiration and theft.  I desperately wish I could see objects (and hence, make art) the way Fiona Watson does.  I aspire to her level of brilliance.  Maybe one day, I will achieve it.
